The mission of the Trust Law Committee is to continually improve Florida law applicable to the creation and administration of trusts. In furtherance of that mission the Committee reviews Florida statutes, judicial decisions, proposed legislation, and promulgated uniform acts dealing with trusts, and provides a forum for discussion of current legal issues involving trusts and taxation of trusts. The Committee proposes legislation to fill gaps in or improve Florida law for consideration by the Section's Executive Council. The Committee also cooperates with The Florida Bar's Continuing Legal Education Committee in organizing and presenting continuing legal education seminars for members of the Florida Bar on the creation, administration, and taxation of trusts.
